After a few minutes of exposure to the laser, the abnormalities or deviation in the soft tissue will be flattened or shaped in a way to clear the nasal air passageway. Thus you will be able to breathe freely.

While this surgery has not gained widespread acceptance, it is a option worth looking into because of the many advantages it offers over traditional surgery. Make sure to ask your doctor if you are eligible for this treatment. If not now, then in a few years after research is done on the issue, deviated septum laser surgery may gain widespread recognition.
